I am doing some Notre Dame football research from the 1903 season and noticed some other scores. On October 17, the University of Kentucky defeated KMI, 18-0. Not a bad showing! Here’s the UK football record for that year: Kentucky State L 0-5 Cynthiana W 39-0 Georgetown W 51-0 KMI W 18-0 Berea College W 17-0 Marietta W 11-0 Miami (OH) W 47-0 Xavier W 21-0 North Carolina State W 18-0 Looks like KMI was on a par with a lot of college teams.
