Cadet life during the Spring semester - month of May

May Lyndon, Kentucky	Trees in leaf, Spring flowers, green grass...A touch of Summer in the air..... STUDY STUDY STUDY
First Saturday in May - Derby Day at Churchill Downs. Girls, mint juleps, and cadets at the "Run for the Roses" The Cadet officers, Band Company and the Kentucky Rifles Drill Team sometimes march in the Derby Day parade.

Mid month, Mother's day weekends' formal dress parade on the Lyndon campus parade ground.	Final point competition.... "Best of the year awards" Company, Platoon, and Squad competitions. Best drilled cadet and neatest cadet competitions.

Seniors taking MST-4 take a trip to Ft. Knox to witness demonstrations of Small Unit Tactics and experience the BIG tanks and artillery fire.	Final Exams Seniors start their final exams a day early in order to be finished on Thursday for the Senior Banquet at the Sheraton - Seelbach hotel.

The Junior class take over the Senior Club house. The Junior class sponsor the Graduation Ball at the Brown Hotel on Friday evening.	Saturday morning the Academic awards are announced and the Baccalourelate sermon is given. Saturay afternoon the athletic and military awards were given out followed by the flagpole ceremony and presentation of the class gift.

Graduation Day...	Sunday morning: Seniors are thrown into the pool and have their last meal together as a group.
After the final full dress parade, the Best Company trophy was given out and the Graduation cerimonies began.

KMI "Legion of Honor" award given out. FINAL FORMATION on the formation court... "Auld Lang Syne" played...	The School Year is Over!
